Clean Water Action focuses on campaigns related to water access, water quality, and environmental justice. Our recent victories include increasing Michigan's renewable energy goals, stopping bottled water withdrawals from the Great Lakes, and funding lead pipe replacement in the city of Flint.

Our current work focuses on passing a strong polluter pay law. Michigan has no shortage of water quality concerns. Many polluting companies put our water and health at risk, and right now, taxpayers are often left to pay for the clean-up. We're working to pass a law that holds these polluters accountable and makes sure they're responsible for the cleanup instead.
We are hiring activists that wish to grow within the organization and the movement. Our Grassroots Management Trainee positions are open to those who want to develop into Field Managers. Newly hired staff will start at the entry level organizing position. Over the course of a few months, you will learn the basics of running a successful grassroots campaign, including, but not limited to, fundraising and donor recruitment, recruiting, hiring, training, supervising staff, and balancing a budget.
Field Managers play a critical role ensuring success of the organization’s grassroots campaigns.
