Healthcare Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Organizer for Growth to
work with our long-term care members around the state. This is a great
opportunity to be on the front lines of the
labor movement!
This is a new position that
is responsible for internally organizing
members around staffing and increasing pay in long term care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, implement and evaluate a member-centered campaign for long term care facilities.5. Organize and participate in political action and lobbying activities.
6. Represent the Union in community and labor coalition activities.
7. Visit work sites covering all shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Dedication to the Labor and Social Justice Movement.
2. Ability to meet deadlines.
3. Ability to work long and irregular hours as necessary.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

5. Labor Union Experience / Connections
Salary and benefits are set by the staff collective bargaining
agreement with starting salary of $40,000/annual and benefits including health,
dental, vision insurance, pension plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
