Competitive Congressional Campaign in western New York seeks Call Time Manager/Finance Assistant to start ASAP. No experience necessary but some is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in beginning a career in Democratic politics or for someone who wants to gain experience in fundraising. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring that all materials are prepared for candidate call time
  • Staffing the candidate during daily call time 
  • Performing follow-up related to call time, including pledge emails and data entry
  • Assisting with database management to ensure that all contacts are accurate and up-to-date
  • Performing donor research 
  • Supporting other fundraising activities including event logistics, preparing thank you letters etc.                      
Qualifications and requirements include:
  • Ability to learn quickly and work campaign hours. This is not a 9 to 5 job.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent phone demeanor.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and discreetly with internal team and donors is a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once with limited oversight.         
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn computer database systems quickly. NGP experience is a plus.
  • Previous campaign experience of any kind desired, but not necessary.
  • Must have a car and personal laptop.
  • Must be willing to relocate to the district ASAP.
