A competitive Florida red-to-blue congressional campaign is seeking a Finance Director. The position will begin as soon as is possible.
This is not an entry level position. Previous experience in campaign finance/fundraising is required.
Finance duties will include:
Lead the day-to-day fundraising operations for the campaign, managing finance team & interns
Assisting campaign manager in continued development of finance plan
Development and execution of local and national fundraising events program
Maintain and build upon existing donor database by identifying and recruiting new donors.
Manage all fundraising related correspondence
Tracking of metrics, progress-to-goal and adjustments of fundraising projections
Maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders including finance committee, donors, partner organizations, experts, and constituents.
Prep for call time and meetings
Staffing candidate (as needed) during call time and meetings
Work with compliance firm to ensure that all FEC guidelines and/or regulations are followed.
The ideal applicant will have:
A commitment to Democratic politics
Campaign finance experience
High-level writing and speaking ability
The ability to work long and weekend hours
The ability to relocate to Florida for the remainder of the campaign
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle and a personal computer
Experience with NGP 7, G-Suite (Google) Applications, and Microsoft operating suite
Preferred candidates will have:
the ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot easily
proven organizational ability
Florida ties are a plus, but not required.
Salary commensurate with experience.
