Position: Midwest and South Finance Assistant 
Reports to: Midwest and South Finance Director

About the DCCC: The DCCC is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC’s Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing more Democrats and taking back the House majority.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the Midwest and South Finance Director in the day-to-day fundraising operations for the DCCC Finance Department;
  • Assist in the development and execution of all fundraising events conducted in the Midwest and South regions;
  • Works with Members of Congress as well as the donor community in the Midwest and South regions;
  • Prepares donor meeting and event materials as necessary;
  • Provide key administrative and organizational support to the Midwest finance team;
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous political fundraising experience;
  • NGP experience is required;
  • Excellent writing skills required;
  • Travel is sometimes required for this position;
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives;
  • Familiarity with Democratic political actors and landscape a plus;
  • Previous scheduling and administrative experience required;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Superior time management, attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
