Competitive Massachusetts congressional campaign is seeking a Field Director. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, personally organized, and has knowledge and experience with data-driven grassroots campaigns. Field Director will work the Campaign Manager and campaign consultants in developing, executing, and refining (when necessary) the campaign’s field plan.
Responsibilities:
• Implement a comprehensive field plan that is metrics driven and sets aggressive voter contact goals
• Develop and oversee volunteer recruitment and field internship programs
• Recruit, hire, train, and individually manage Field Organizers
• Create daily and weekly reporting structures with Field Organizers and campaign leadership
• Establish and reinforce standardized best practices in all aspects of field for field staff, field interns, and volunteers
• Build and develop positive relationships between the campaign and stakeholders throughout the district.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of one (1) cycle of field experience
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and VAN
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in training, managing, and empowering volunteers
• A willingness to work long, irregular hours, even on evenings and weekends
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
