We are seeking a highly motivated and mission-driven Field Organizing Manager to join our community outreach efforts in Rhinebeck, NY and the surrounding Hudson Valley region.

Overview:
As the Field Organizing Manager, you will coach and lead the Field Organizing team through planning, logistics, and executional tasks to success at their events, such as ribbon cuttings, trade shows, meet ups, workshops, happy hours, and tabling. You will follow your own work schedule, including visits with influential community members and organizational partners. You’ll develop communication strategies to drive attendance and help create ideal customer experiences at events, all with the goal of inspiring others to join the solar movement.

What you’ll do as the Field Organizing Manager: 

Coach and train team to Inspire potential customers in the field through a variety of events and activities – from small tabling at local businesses to larger partnership events with thousands of attendees
Plan, track, report, and course-correct to meet monthly lead forecasts
Coordinate and manage entire event – from recruiting community partners and event promotions to logistical details and staffing
Identify and build relationships with community organizations
Imagine new events, partnerships, and activations to spread our mission
Coordinate closely with SunCommon’s digital, email, and creative teams to package our events for publicity in traditional and digital media channels
Manage quarterly program budget

What you’ll bring to the Field Marketing Manager role:
Previous field organizing or marketing experience
Previous management experience
Experience with a CRM platform (ideally Salesforce)
Experience implementing events, tabling and working with community partners
Creativity in identifying new field marketing opportunities and amplifying partnerships
Must have a flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings and weekends
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Palpable enthusiasm for our shared vision of a clean energy future
