REPORTS TO: Digital Director
LOCATION: Jackson, MS; remote during shelter-in-place

As Mobilization Director, you’ll join the Digital Department to lead a digital organizing program and build up our organizing efforts in Mississippi.

The ideal candidate is highly creative and is able to generate new ideas for mobilizing voters and creating digital communities of supporters. You will work across departments to develop a distributed organizing program including phones/dialer, social media, emails, texts, and more. You will train volunteers and organizers across Mississippi on digital organizing tools.

This position will be remote until it is safe to relocate to the campaign’s headquarters in Jackson, MS. The position reports to the Digital Director. Salary is commensurate with experience and full medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided.

• Responsibilities

• ●  Develop the distributed organizing program across various platforms

• ●  Develop volunteer communities via Facebook, Slack, and/or other online platforms

• ●  Produce text message and call scripts to be used for peer to peer texting and phone banks

• ●  Assist with other digital team tasks as needed—your role will be primarily digital organizing, but

  you may be needed to assist with online fundraising or social media as the team expands

• Experience and Qualifications

• ●  Familiarity with building and launching digital organizing campaigns

• ●  Experience training and empowering volunteers and organizers

• ●  Electoral Campaign or Advocacy Organizing background with at least 1 cycle of employed

  experience in digital or distributed organizing

• ●  Experience with dialer tools and peer-to-peer texting tools

• ●  Experience with online community tools such as Slack and Zoom

• ●  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and adapt quickly and easily

  to the changing landscape of a political campaign

• ●  Southern ties a plus
