Finance Assistant Job Posting
Seeking a full-time Finance Assistant for a West Coast Democratic Congressmember's highly competitive re-election campaign.
The Finance Assistant will be a critical component to ensure the success of our events program. Primary responsibilities will include working with the finance director to plan/manage events, with an emphasis on all aspects of the event planning process. The Finance Assistant will work with hosts to build guest lists, set fundraising goals, provide logistical support, send out invitations, handle the rsvp process, and staff the event. Additional responsibilities will include conducting donor research, assistance with call time preparation, some management of volunteers as well as interns and other tasks as necessary.
Finance Assistant responsibilities include:
Recruit event hosts
Plan/Manage Events
Donor research
Prep for call time
Assist with recruiting and directing volunteers and interns
Assisting with all aspects of fundraising and other campaign events
Finance Assistant Qualifications:
Previous finance/fundraising experience preferred (especially event planning)
Previous campaign experience preferred
Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced campaign environment
Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends on a regular basis
Knowledge of NGP Software preferred
A detail oriented team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience directing volunteers/interns
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Access to reliable transportation required
A sense of humor
