VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Amy McGrath for Senate is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for the 2020 campaign cycle. As part of the campaign team, this person will manage relationships and outreach to volunteers throughout Kentucky and nationally.
Location: Lexington, KY
Reports to: Organizing Director
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with volunteers throughout Kentucky, and nationally.
Develop a process to recruit and communicate with volunteers and supporters
Coordinate with Digital, Political and Field departments for volunteer recruitment, event building and volunteer opportunities.
Design and implement a system for assigning and tracking volunteer projects
Ensure supporters and volunteers receive updates on campaign activities, opportunities and goals
Identify volunteers in local communities for specific events and projects as needed.
Travelling to and staffing events across the state as needed.
Other duties as assigned
Preferred experience and skills:
At least 2 years or 1 cycle campaign experience
Positive attitude with ability to inspire and encourage supporters and volunteers
Comfortable communicating and building relationships with volunteers and supporters
Experience planning and organizing events
Flexible to travel to events as needed
Strong attention to accuracy and detail
