VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR


Amy McGrath for Senate is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for the 2020 campaign cycle. As part of the campaign team, this person will manage relationships and outreach to volunteers throughout Kentucky and nationally. 

 

Location: Lexington, KY

Reports to: Organizing Director 


Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers throughout Kentucky, and nationally.

  • Develop a process to recruit and communicate with volunteers and supporters

  • Coordinate with Digital, Political and Field departments for volunteer recruitment, event building and volunteer opportunities. 

  • Design and implement a system for assigning and tracking volunteer projects 

  • Ensure supporters and volunteers receive updates on campaign activities, opportunities and goals

  • Identify volunteers in local communities for specific events and projects as needed. 

  • Travelling to and staffing events across the state as needed. 

  • Other duties as assigned 


Preferred experience and skills:

  • At least 2 years or 1 cycle campaign experience 

  • Positive attitude with ability to inspire and encourage supporters and volunteers

  • Comfortable communicating and building relationships with volunteers and supporters

  • Experience planning and organizing events 

  • Flexible to travel to events as needed

  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
