The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) works to turn environmental values into national, state and local priorities. LCV, in collaboration with our state LCV partners, advocates for sound environmental laws and policies, holds elected officials accountable for their votes and actions, and elects pro-environment candidates who will champion our priority issues.
The Donor Advocacy and Events Associate is an important member in a top-notch team of fundraising professionals. This position supports and works closely with the Senior Director and Manager to produce high quality special events and major donor programming around the country. This position offers an opportunity to grow fundraising skills with one of the top progressive development operations and work for one of the country’s foremost environmental groups.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Education: College degree required.
Work experience: At least one year of work experience required and experience working in a political organization or campaign desirable; database experience preferred.
Skills: Strong written and oral communications skills, excellent skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Attentive to details, and adept at developing and maintaining systems.
Capabilities: Extremely organized; critical thinking skills; a sense of teamwork and community; ability to handle multiple tasks, work for several people and thrive in a fast paced setting; commitment to environmental protection and mission of LCV; great sense of humor.
Conditions: Able to work occasional overtime to get the job done.
