Josh Hicks grew up on a farm in rural Kentucky and dropped out of college to enlist in the US Marine Corps, deploying twice and rising to the rank of Sergeant. He then joined the Maysville Police Department, at the same time going back to school and completing his undergrad degree at Morehead State University (working nights at weekends at the police department), and then graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Josh is running for Congress to give a voice to regular folks, to make sure that people can afford to put food on the table and gas in their truck. About the role
The Deputy Political Director will assist with political outreach (setting up meetings, call, etc.) as well as event scheduling and management. Ideal applicants for this role will be very well organized (able to multitask, balance competing priorities, and keep track of details), hard working, and great at relationship building and maintenance. Some campaign experience in political or field will be helpful, but other professional background may be sufficient. This is a full-time, paid position, based in Lexington, Kentucky.
