The Michigan House Democrats are currently seeking applicants for Campaign Managers in several targeted races across the state.

 

Campaign Managers will work as the on-the-ground staff in their assigned House districts to aid local legislative campaigns in their efforts to make direct contact with voters.


 HOUSE DEMOCRATS CAMPAIGN MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION


·         Campaign Managers will, in their assigned House Districts:

o   Implement the candidate/caucus Campaign Plan (voter contact program, including voter identification, persuasion, and Get Out The Vote efforts, etc.)

o   Offer support to endorsed candidates and their campaigns.

o   Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and interns.

o   Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Director / Caucus Organizer.

 

·         Ideal candidates will have:

o   Dedication to Democratic / Progressive values and principles.

o   Previous campaign experience

o   Experience with field or community organizing (such as voter registration or get-out-the-vote drives).

o   Highly tuned communication skills and proficient computing skills.

o   Ability to maintain nontraditional working hours.

o   An insured vehicle for travel in an assigned geographic region.

o   Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate

o   Experience with Microsoft Excel, VAN (VoteBuilder) preferred.
