The Climate Action Campaign is a highly effective, unbranded coalition of national climate, conservation, and progressive groups, state and local partners, and key allies working to protect clean air and promote action to limit climate change. The Campaign regularly partners with national and state-based groups, as well as leaders from diverse communities, to promote climate action, defend against attacks on the Clean Air Act and climate change policies, and showcase the unyielding transition to clean energy driven by state, local and federal action.
Responsibilities
• Develop, pitch, and manage a strategic online communications plan that advances the campaign’s overarching goals while incorporating digital innovations and trends into CAC’s work
• Assist in making budgeting recommendations and decisions for the team and program
• Manage the digital team and external partners, vendors and consultants
• Oversee day-to-day digital team operations, including the creation and distribution of social media guidance, as well as long-term projects like digital ads and microsite creation and maintenance
• Oversee the development and adoption of online tools to optimize advocacy efforts across the environmental community
• Propose and manage paid digital efforts on behalf of coalition members
• Help establish and advance baseline messaging and branding for major moments and key initiatives, building digital materials that will be useful to a diverse set of partners and stakeholders
• Facilitate coordination and discussion amongst coalition members and extended partners
• Establish ambitious but achievable metrics to measure growth of the digital program and partner engagement with CAC Digital materials
• Manage internal projects and cross-departmental activity/programs
Qualifications
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a campaign-style digital creative position is required
• Excellent political and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced campaign environment
• Experience dealing with consultants, vendors, and principals
• Strong writing and editing skills; willingness to jump in on digital writing projects when needed
• Has ability to anticipate capacity needs of team members and takes initiative to offer support
• Experience in a coalition-based, or highly collaborative with partner organizations, environment
• Political judgment to manage external and internal coalition reactions and response as well as the ability to adjust course and digital priorities and decisions to colleagues in a clear, concise and professional manner

This position reports to the Communications Strategist.
