A progressive consulting firm is hiring a canvass director in Western MD for rural outreach program.

Who We Are: We're field people. We work with everyone from city council candidates looking to build a grassroots wave to massive statewide programs that register 100k voters and everything in between.

What You'll Do: We are running a field program targeting voters who don't usually hear from Democratic campaigns. You will deploy with our organizing staff to run field operations in 1-3 Western MD counties. You'll recruit and manage a field team and help achieve an historic vote goal in the region.

Who We're Looking For: You're a mechanic first & foremost. You ask questions, find solutions, and solve problems. You want to work on campaigns and win for progressive candidates up and down the ballot.

More specifically organizers should:
  • Have 0-2 years of experience on campaigns.
  • Learn fast and adapt faster.
  • Have a computer and a valid driver's license.
  • Not be scared by campaign hours.
  • Want to win and want to get better at your craft.
Additionally those applying for a Field Director position should:
  • Have worked on campaigns for 3-5 years
  • Know their way around the VAN.
  • Know what good and bad targeting look like.
  • Have some experience budgeting.
Perks:  Fine tune your organizing skills with opportunities for growth and clear pathways for professional development. Help build an organizing model for Democrats outside the cities. Competitive salaries.

Start Dates: 5 days - 2 weeks

Locations: NC, MD, FL, and many more. We work with our organizing staff to cover costs of travel to program locations and typically provide housing (not supporter housing) for our field staff.

Anyone interested should send an email to democrati...@gmail.com with the subject line 'Field Director' or 'Organizer'. Please attach a current resume.
