Constituent Service Representative - Providence, RI

The Mayor’s Office is seeking a Constituent Representative in the Mayor’s Center for City Services (MCCS). The Mayor’s Center for City Services, in close coordination with other city departments and agencies, interfaces directly with residents, businesses, and visitors to the City of Providence to receive and promptly address incoming requests for city service. The Constituent Service Representative is responsible for:

• Fielding and addressing constituent requests received by phone, online submission via PVD311, and in-person visits to the Mayor’s Office

• Providing regular updates to constituents and business owners as to the status and resolution of submitted requests

• Using technology to track, monitor, and update the status of requests in the City’s constituent services database

• Garnering and sharing information about City initiatives and events

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external partners

• Ability to learn quickly and be effective in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information

• Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills

• Excellent technology skills

• Acute attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
