HIRING Field Organizer for New York City Council Races

Meridian Strategies is hiring full-time Field Organizers to oversee field operations for City Council campaigns in Brooklyn and Queens, as well as citywide campaigns primarily based in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.

Field Organizers are responsible for:

-Recruiting, training, and supervising canvassers to ensure best practices

-Communicating with campaign staff and other Meridian managers

-Managing supply logistics for petitioning, persuasion, and GOTV operations

-Monitor schedules and canvasser payroll to ensure performance is on track to meet goals

-Collecting petitions and supervising the petitioning process 

Qualifications:

-Registered Democrat in the state of New York (or willing and able to register)

-Must commit to working 5-6 days a week

-At least 2 cycles of field experience

-Strong communication and people skills

-Ability to think creatively and outside-of-the-box

-Experience with NGP VAN

This is an hourly contractor position. Compensation is $25 per hour. Employment begins ASAP and lasts throughout the primary cycle, with long-term opportunities available down the line.
