Flexible Remote Campaign Internships

We’re looking for remote interns to work in a variety of different roles! Sam Fein is running for New York State Assembly in the 108th District. Join our energetic team to elect Sam this June!
Organizing Internship
- Learn to organize remotely as we adapt our campaign to a remote-only operation
- Learn about the ladder of engagement, DNC Votebuilder, and other organizing tactics/tools to cultivate and develop volunteer leadership
- Work with the field director and campaign manager to build for and manage events
- Recruit for daily phone banks
- Help the campaign meet its voter contact goals by engaging in multiple voter contact methods
Finance Internship
- Learn how to conduct donor research by using multiple databases
- Assisting with donor outreach, such as writing thank-yous, and conducting follow up
- Interns will have the opportunity to remotely sit in on-call time
- Learn how to draft a fundraising email or letter
- Assist with planning small and large scale fundraisers
- Interns will walk away from the internship with valuable skills pertaining to campaign finance
Communication Internship
- Learn how to draft a press release and do press pitches to promote the campaign
- Assist with creating graphics (experience with Canva preferred, but not required)
- Help with drafting social media posts and creating content
- Keep the press list and endorsement tracker up to date
- Assist with video editing (experience with video editing preferred, but not required)
Hours/Communication Norms:
- Interns will work directly with the field director, campaign manager, or other relevant positions
- All internships are remote
- We will work with you to receive credit for these internships
- Internships are flexible, at a minimum five hours is required each week
- We are bringing on interns at a rolling basis, apply as soon as you can
