Five-week PAID community organizing training academy.

 

Find out what it takes to be a great community organizer by joining the Organizing Academy.  If you believe that unequal access to a quality public educationis one of the biggest social justice issues facing our country, and that all kids deserve to attend high performing public schools – whether traditional public or charter - our academy is the place for you.

 

The five-week training will be intense, operating on the ground much like a campaign where you will work evenings and weekends. Candidates will learn basic community organizing techniques that they will apply in the field.  Successful candidates will be goal oriented, out-going and committed to the idea that through organizing, we can effect social change. Candidates who successfully complete the training academy will be considered for a full-time position on the organizing team.
