Hiring Deputy Field Director for Queens Borough Wide Race

Deputy Field Director

Costa Constantinides for Queens Borough President is looking for a full time staff member to join the field team. He is far and away the most progressive candidate in the race with a large focus on environmental issues and now leading on the calling for help for our county already so we can combat the spread of Covid-19, as well as protecting the rights of voters so that we are able to preserve our democracy. This team member will work closely with our Field Director as well as the Campaign Manager, Communications Director and Finance team. Salary is negotiable and we are looking to hire as soon as possible. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Forming relationships with existing volunteer base, and recruiting additional volunteers to phone bank and conduct relational campaigning

• Coordinating with endorsing organizations and individuals to mobilize members/followers to put in volunteer hours

• Ensure that student interns are fulfilling responsibilities

• Developing goals for field team with regard to voter outreach, engagement, and persuasion 

• Updating campaign staff on field initiatives via organization apps and conference calls

• Helping organize data to track positive voter IDs and successful voter engagement tactics

Requirements:

• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members

• Strong advocacy, communication, and time management skills 

• Experience creatively adapting assignments to changing situations

• Comfortable speaking with people of various ages and backgrounds over the phone

• Commitment to flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

• Reliable internet connection

• Spanish/bilingual language skills strongly preferred
