Top-tier Democratic campaign in IN-02 Congressional District is seeking positive, hard-working, motivated Field Organizers for the 2020 cycle. Democratic Nominee for Congress, Pat Hackett, was recently endorsed by Pete Buttigieg, former Presidential Candidate for the Democratic nomination, and was endorsed by the Victory Fund at the Game Changer Level, the Equality PAC, LPAC, AFL-CIO, and other numerous labor and municipal endorsements.  Pat’s race has caught national attention and has been the subject of several national articles including NBC and LGBTQ Nation. Field Organizers will be the face of the campaign with grassroots volunteers and voters as well as neighborhood precinct captains. Successful Field Organizers will build, train, and motivate local teams of volunteers, and they will coordinate voter registration efforts as well as voter contact programs. Pat and her campaign team are committed to investing in a robust field infrastructure throughout the district. This is a very competitive district and will be critical to maintaining the majority in the US House of Representatives by removing the current Republican incumbent, Jackie Walorski. The desired candidates for the position will be professional, organized, and self-starters with an ability to work both independently and as a team player. Field organizers will work closely with the Field Director. Firm commitment through November is required. Starts ASAP. Competitive Pay.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Work to build local grassroots teams that will then engage in direct voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and retention
• Execute direct voter contact, including organizing phone banks, canvasses, events, and Zoom events
• Develop strong relationships with local political leaders, grassroots organizations, and allies
• Build a local volunteer base to support victory 
• Create a strong Democratic presence in communities within your assigned turf
• Be a local representative of the candidate
• Weekly HQ Reports
• Soft Reporting on time 
• Updating google calendar and keeping it up to date

 

 

Qualifications 

 

• At least one cycle of organizing/field experience preferred, but not required 
• Votebuilder knowledge and experience required
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals
• Adaptability to emerging campaign situations with ability to work long and irregular hours as necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player with positive attitude
• Dedication to electing the candidate and democrats up and down the ticket.

• Applicants must have access to up-to-date laptop and mobile phone
