FINANCE DIRECTOR

 

The David Baria for Mississippi is seeking a Finance Director. The Director will be responsible for helping manage the operations of the department along with the Campaign Manager.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·       Planning and executing events and other fundraising activities

·       Execute and manage donor research and expand principal’s new donor networks

·       Effectively managing and messaging the candidate in call time

·       Building and maintaining donor relationships 

·       Developing and executing strategic fundraising plans and meeting performance milestones, with continual progress toward larger organizational goals.    

·       Direct solicitations from state and local donors through multiple channels 

·       Work closely with compliance staff

·       Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

·       A minimum of 2 years prior fundraising experience 

·       Experience managing staff preferred

·       Prior experience with targeting contributors and follow up management

·       Good time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

·       Social media skills

·       Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills – the ability to speak persuasively in a charged atmosphere

·       Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and NGP

·       Prior experience with targeting contributors and follow up management 

·       Willing to work extensive hours, including nights and weekends with some travel

·       The ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines and handle regular challenges with a positive attitude

·       Committed to details, results, meeting goals, and consistent improvement

·       Experience in Southern states preferred but not required
