At Donor Development Strategies, we create positive community change and promote local engagement to dramatically transform the fundraising landscape of public media. How? Every day, we connect people to ideas, education, and meaningful programming on behalf of PBS & NPR stations across the nation. As a Director you will be trained in the skills it takes to establish yourself as an industry leader and authority on nonprofit fundraising at the grassroots level.
We give WETA Public Television and Classical WETA 90.9 FM the power to truly engage the community. We're the ones who harness the incredible power of people that makes WETA programming possible. We inspire the community every day with our energy, passion and love of public media. Our work is backed by years of success and culture of innovation
This team is passionate about creating positive social change and doing it in a way that challenges the typical organizer model. By redefining how and where work gets done, we offer Directors the ability to make a difference while maintaining a strong work/life balance. We're looking for an exceptional leader to join us. This is an opportunity to make a dramatic impact, at the grassroots level, on one of America's oldest and largest non-profits. We encourage our staff not only to build strong relationships directly with the local WETA, but to develop their voice within our fast-paced and achieving company. As we grow, we want to hire those hungry to be a part of our evolution. Are you the compelling leader ready to manage our D.C. office on behalf of WETA Public Television and Classical WETA 90.9 FM?
WETA's mission is to produce and broadcast programs of intellectual integrity and cultural merit that recognize viewers' and listeners' intelligence, curiosity and interest in the world around them. Being licensed to the community rather than a state or university, WETA has served DC, Maryland and Virginia since 1961. WETA has 4 television stations, 2 classical radio channels and several award-winning educational websites and community outreach projects. WETA's primary television channel reaches 1.3 million viewers per week and Classical WETA 90.9 FM is the nation's most listened-to Classical station, reaching 400,000 listeners weekly.

We're a small team of ex-political operatives and former theater performers that deploys to locations around the nation to dramatically change the landscape for PBS & NPR fundraising. We're quick on our feet, whether it's knocking doors or on the dance floor, and we're never the first to leave the party. We apply our love of good conversation and positive community change to the work we do every day. If you feel the same, join the team!
