The Texas Democratic Party is seeking a Videographer with experience in filming, video editing, live streaming, and content creation to join our content team. We’re looking for a videographer who is passionate about fighting Trump Republicans in Texas and working on the ground to build Texas Democratic Party infrastructure.

 

What you’ll do:

• Work with the Content Manager to film and edit video content for departments, launches, and special programming

• Ideate video concepts to meet specific organizational needs, often in tandem with program releases and announcements

• Livestream virtual events on our social media platforms, and create the graphics associated with each event

• Assist with production for various types of video content

• Optimize video content for the desired audience and platform

• Create video campaigns with collaboration on art direction, concept development, and storyboarding.

• Manage Texas Democrats Twitch account

• Attends and participates in content planning meetings

• Provides support to other projects as needed

 

Preference given for experience with:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required

• Familiarity with digital and social media platforms

• Thorough understanding of political campaigns and video landscape

• Basic understanding of OBS streaming software is a significant plus

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent planning, execution, and follow-up skills.

• Comfortable working under deadline pressure, rapid response

• A willingness to work long hours as needed

• Ability to manage a wide range of projects and responsibilities concurrently

 

Start date: As soon as possible

Must be able to start on or before July 15
