Administrator for Online Campaigns
The Public Interest Network’s Internet Organizing Department is seeking a
capable administrator to assist our online organizers with email and
other online communications within our online political network.
The Public Interest Network includes the state Public Interest Research
Groups, U.S. PIRG, state environmental groups in 29 states, Environment
America, Environmental Action, Toxics Action Center, Pesticide Watch,
Green Century Funds, Green Corps, National Environmental Law Center,
Frontier Group, Community Voters Project, and Accelerate Change.
Groups in the Public Interest Network are working to fight Global
Warming, promote Solar Solutions, protect America’s waterways, get Big
Money out of politics, and stop the overuse of antibiotics.
Job Responsibilities
* Maintain a schedule of communications to our online members and activists
* Set-up, proof and send email alerts to our email activist lists
* Resolve issues, such as removing or changing list subscriptions, set
up action and donation pages, and retrieve data on people who have taken
action from our web sites
* Provide 24 and 48-hour reports promptly and accurately.
Required Skills
* Extremely organized and detail-oriented
* Basic understanding of Internet technology and communication.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform problem analysis and resolution
* Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, unpredictable and demanding environment
Location: Boston, MA
Salary and Benefits
Entry-level staff earn $25,500 over the course of their first year. In
addition, The Public Interest Network offers a competitive benefits
