policy think-tank is hiring an Office Manager/Executive Assistant for
immediate start
General
description of duties:
Candidate
is responsible for administrative and scheduling support for think-tank
President and day-to-day office operations in Washington, D.C.
Duties
of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Managing think-tank President’s daily schedule—overseeing
logistical details of think-tank President’s schedule and arranging external
and internal meetings for think-tank staff
- Managing all front office operations including telephone
support, handling correspondence, printing, organizing, and filing printed materials,
maintaining accurate databases, ordering and organizing office supplies as
needed, and maintaining a tidy front office
- Coordinating and booking travel for think-tank President and
think-tank staff
- Work with think-tank staff to organize and host large public
events-providing logistical support as required
- May be asked to assist with research, fact-finding, and
copy-editing as needed by President and policy staff
Qualifications
and Skills for position:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to prioritize various demands in order to best organize the President’s time and meet the President’s needs
- A successful candidate must be a self-starter, be goal oriented and have the ability to work well as an individual and as a member of a team
- Capitol Hill experience preferred
