GBA Strategies, a progressive DC-based public opinion research firm, is seeking a talented intern for a paid internship, starting immediately at its Washington, DC office. This is a great opportunity to learn about public opinion research from a team of experts with decades of experience in the field.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting background research on issues, candidates, and districts
- Proofreading and copy editing of documents such as questionnaires, memos, and presentations
- Ensuring quality control of the research process, including survey design testing and live research monitoring
The ideal candidate would be a junior or senior in college, a graduate student, or a recent college graduate who is hardworking, interested in progressive politics, and comfortable with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Powerpoint, and Excel). All candidates must demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Prior internships, political experience, a demonstrated interest in Democratic politics, and/or statistical backgrounds are preferred.
Minimum of 15 hours/week in our downtown DC office, mostly during the late afternoon and evening hours. Previous internships, Spanish language skills, a plus but not required.
