THIS ROLE:
The Legal and Operations Team is responsible for driving one of the most complex political financial operations in the country. As part of this team, the Compliance Associate plays a key role in helping run our demanding and efficient compliance shop. This is a full-time, entry-level position and is perfect for someone with an interest in politics and campaign finance law.
YOU WILL:
- Research campaign finance regulations and deadlines.
- Communicate with regulators.
- Prepare campaign finance reports to send to a variety of state agencies.
- Keep up with data entry.
- Help with tax returns and reconciliation.
YOU ARE:
- Highly detailed: You proofread, reread, and triple check your work. You understand that details play a large role in setting ActBlue up for success.
- Experienced in and excited about data entry: Reliable and complete data is key to the success of our compliance shop. We are looking for someone who values this as much as we do.
- Organized and efficient: All systems can be made better and more streamlined — help us move ours in the right direction! We need someone who is great at keeping their own work in order and can help our team as a whole stay organized as well.
- Comfortable going solo: While you’ll be working in a larger team, most of your day to day work will be independently driven and managed.
- Excellent with computers: Compliance tasks rely heavily on various platforms and databases. We are looking for a quick learner, and experience with Excel and SQL is a plus.
- Mission-driven: Our online fundraising technology makes it easy for more supporters to participate in the political process every day. We need people who are passionate about furthering this work and providing support to our team and to every campaign and organization that we work with.
LOCATION & COMPENSATION:
ActBlue’s office is located in Davis Square in Somerville, MA, just a few blocks from Boston’s MBTA Red Line train. This posting is for a full-time, in-office, salaried position.
