Hiring a Field Director for a Fairfax, Virginia Campaign

A county-wide campaign in Fairfax, VA is seeking a full-time field director for a large, volunteer-driven field operation to start immediately and go through the June Democratic Primary. The field director will be responsible for executing the field plan and supervising organizers and volunteers across the county. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all volunteers and staff are trained and productive throughout the day.
• Ensuring that all required reporting is accurate and timely.
• Representing the campaign at community events and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Experience on Democratic campaigns.
• Knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN.
• Highly organized.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Strong coaching skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
