Hiring immediately: Field Directors to build and manage grass roots field programs for women legislators who are leaders in state Democratic politics.
A successful candidate will be a dynamic individual possessing a breadth of organizing experience and demonstrating a range of professional skills. S/he will be passionate about building people-powered campaigns and crushing the glass ceiling that exists for women running for political office.
Responsibilities Will Include:
· Conducting or managing grass tops politics
· Recruiting, training, and managing a volunteer field program
· Tracking and reporting progress to goal in real time
· Delivering program assessments and recommending strategic adjustments as needed
Required Skills and Qualities
· Demonstrated experience with the responsibilities above and demonstrated possession of the required skills and qualities below…
· The ability to train and motivate large community based volunteer groups
· Mastery of voter contact programs including VAN and the like
· Mastery of basic office programs including the Microsoft office suite, excel in particular, and file share programs
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent time management and task organizing skills
· The ability to solve problems
· The ability to self-assess
· Self-motivation and the commitment to see a task through regardless
Job Requirements
· The ability to travel independently
· Valid drivers’ license, insurance and access to a reliable vehicle
· The ability to work extended hours
· The ability to travel for extended periods of time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
