Position Summary

Top targeted PA Congressional race in Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a paid canvassing director. Position will last through till Election Day. Applicant must be willing to relocate to Bucks County, Pennsylvania for the duration of the campaign (supporter housing will be provided). The ideal candidate will have 1-2 cycles of experience as a paid canvasser, field organizer, or at least 1 cycle as a paid canvassing director, is a self-starter, and enthusiastic about growing professionally in political campaigns. The Canvass Director will report to the Field Director and will be responsible for ensuring program goals are met. The individual will have excellent communication & managerial skills and should enjoy working with people.


Responsibilities

- Recruit, hire, and manage a campaign staff of 20-30 canvassers.

- Train staff on effective canvassing and campaigning techniques and best practices.

- Ensure canvass teams maintain accurate and reliable data.

- Evaluate canvasser performance and give ongoing feedback and training.

- Provide the Field Director with daily quantitative and qualitative reports.

- Meet voter contact goals in pursuit of campaign field objectives.


Required Qualifications

- Strong understanding and experience with VAN. Must know how to build lists, cut turf, print packets, and assess data.

- Willingness to work nights and weekends. 80+ hour weeks.

- Keen interest in Democratic politics and willingness to learn and grow.

- Strong written, communication, research, & interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail.

- Familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Office tools.

- Must possess laptop, car and valid driver's license.
