The House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC) is looking for interns for our Harrisburg office. HDCC supports State House members and candidates across the Commonwealth offering college students the unique opportunity to work directly with those officials, candidates and high-level staff members. Interns will receive an inside look at the Pennsylvania political scene while working in a fun, energetic environment. HDCC Overview

The Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC) is a full-time political organization dedicated to building a Democratic Majority in the Pennsylvania House. By training Democratic activists, raising campaign funds, and recruiting and supporting top-level State House candidates through the election cycle, the HDCC is leading the effort to win additional seats in the State House.

Responsibilities

- Assist Staff with fundraising activities including donor research, database maintenance, and event planning
- New Media outreach including website maintenance, Facebook and Twitter
- Research assistance and staff support for political events, meetings and conference calls
- Candidate research, including legislative & issue analysis
- Additional project management duties for interns who progress with the organization

Qualifications

- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and willing to work on individual and group projects

Start Date: July 2016
End Date: Flexible
