Position Summary:
The Philip Levine for Governor campaign is hiring organizers. Philip Levine is the former Mayor of Miami Beach and is running for governor of the state of Florida. We are a looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for Democratic politics to help us elect a Democratic Governor in Florida for the first time in 20 years. As Organizer, you will have a pivotal role in making that happen. Primary Election Day is August 28, 2018, and general Election Day is November 6, 2018.
Organizers will report directly to Campaign Coordinator and a Regional Area Director. Your main priorities will be recruiting and developing relationships with local volunteers, and participating in different forms of direct voter contact.
Responsibilities:
Execute statewide PLFG field plan on a local level.
Identify, recruit, train, and develop relationships with volunteers in the community.
Coordinate and participate in direct voter contact programs to motivate and mobilize voters.
Identify, recruit, train, and manage interns during each through spring and summer programs.
Represent and staff the campaign at local events/meetings.
Qualifications:
Access to a car, laptop and cell phone.
Strong commitment to electing Democrats.
Strong relationship building skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Must be willing to travel and work long hours.
Pluses:
Experience in local organizing for a candidate or cause.
Experience using VAN/Nationbuilder.
