Field Organizer
Job Summary:
The Will Fisher for Congress campaign is hiring
part-time organizers for a US congressional race. Organizers will be responsible
for executing the field plan within their assigned turf and will report to
their Field Director. Organizers will be the local face of the Will Fisher for
Congress campaign and will be a critical element of the organizing program
through their effective training and management of volunteers.
Organizers will be expected to reside in or relocate
to North Texas (Denton County area).
Responsibilities:
- Identify, recruit, and train
groups of volunteers to build a volunteer base to strengthen the
campaign’s organization and meet the goals outlined by the organizing
program
- Ensure the successful training
and inclusion of all volunteers
- Provide volunteers with the
positive leadership, culture, resources, and guidance required to succeed
during each phase of the campaign
- Ensure the accurate and
reliable entry of data throughout the campaign
- Provide the Field Director with
quantitative and qualitative reports as part of an ongoing evaluation of
the program’s success
- Perform other duties as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and
written
- Demonstrated interest and
commitment to progressive candidates and causes, with one cycle of
previous field experience strongly preferred
- Votebuilder/VAN proficiency is
also strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Google Docs
and basic computer literacy
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work long, irregular
hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment
- Ability to be self-motivated
and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license,
reliable access to a vehicle, and a functional laptop is necessary

Job Type: Contract/temporary. Opportunity to
extend offer (and potential promotion) as campaign advances to the next stage.
Salary:
$1300 /month based on 35 hours /week
