POSITION SUMMARY:  

The mission of the new Mobilization Department at the Democratic National Committee is to bring ordinary people into the heart of the DNC and provide Americans with encouragement, power, and tools to mobilize in their communities. We organize in all 3,413 counties across the country, through the state parties and from the grassroots, and we seek to impact down-ballot races and build the Democratic resistance to the corrupt, dangerous Trump-Republican agenda.

The DNC is seeking a Paid Media Director to persuade and mobilize voters and supporters in 2017 and 2018. You’ll be responsible for every aspect of planning, implementing and optimizing a seven-figure advertising program. You’ll manage all aspects of our paid media campaigns, negotiate with our vendors to get the best value for our buck, and maintain a rigorous planning calendar.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Create innovate digital marketing campaigns that help us reach our fundraising and mobilization goals
  • Develop and maintain a rigorous check-listing process for all creative campaigns
  • Generate earned media and grow the grassroots capacity of the DNC
  • Ensure that our advertising efforts reflect the DNC's messaging
  • Optimize our paid acquisition program to reach our goals for recruitment of new donors across channels
  • Ensure that all of our campaigns are error-free
  • Work with our media firm to ensure that new insights are applied to all our ad campaigns
  • Monitor long- and short-term value and performance
  • Build and deploy reports with assistance from our analytical team
  • Report on paid media trends to senior leadership and provide strategic insights on messaging and performance
  • Track the latest market trends in acquisition and persuasion advertising
  • Serve as a paid media consultant to the Democratic Party; you’ll help state parties and down-ballot campaigns build better programs
  • Train others on paid media best practices

 

ABOUT YOU:  

  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience managing paid media campaigns, including acquisition and persuasion ads
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of the market trends of the 2016, 2017, and 2018 election cycle
  • Expertise in advertising platforms such as DoubleClick Digital Marketing stack, Google AdWords, Facebook Ads & Power Editor and Twitter Ads
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital advertising metrics and analytics
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors
