SUMMARY:
NextGen America is dedicated to producing high-quality video content for broadcast and online use. We’re looking for an editor with a flair for motion graphics and an eye for what works. This team member will partner with the creative team and the videographer to build eye-catching and shareable content. Our ideal candidate must be a talented post-production jane or jack-of-all-trades and a natural at troubleshooting. Technical responsibilities will include concepting videos, script writing, editing, motion graphics, mixing, and delivery. It is essential to be able to multitask simultaneous video campaigns in a fast-paced environment to be effective in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with team to propose new video concepts
- Help produce storyboards and scripts for approval prior to shooting
- Edit video and photo content for ads and episodic content
- Support the creative team in building ad sets
- Create stunning motion graphics / VFX
- Mix sound
- Archive and organize media
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Sense of humor
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, Broadcast Journalism or related field
- 4-6 years of working experience as an editor
- Not afraid to experiment and it shows in your work
- Ability to shift from cutting up a 30-second ad to editing a short film mid-stride
- Knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Resolve like the back of your hand
- Can create dynamic templates to build granular variations of multiple ad sets
- Use tools and plugins to speed up your workflow
- Operationalize organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills like a natural
- Prefer to be in the loop and are on top of emerging trends in the creative space
- Knowledge of and are passionate about current events and politics
