I’m writing to share with you an important next phase in SMT’s life as a movement support organization. We are equipping the organization to be even more effective in supporting movements for Black justice and Black power, and to be a home for the development of young organizers.

SMT is building a team committed to Black justice in the U.S. and Africa - including full time, part-time, and instructor positions - and launching a youth fellowship program in online/offline organizing.

I’ve spent a lifetime at the intersection of technology and organizing for justice. My experience as a Latinx deeply involved with racial justice organizing in this country is at the center of my passion for this work. And I’m honored to help guide the important work of Social Movement Technologies along with staff and the rest of the board.

If building Black power is a non-negotiable priority for you, this may be a good home to make a real difference in the company of a pretty amazing team.
