Deputy Research Director on Southern Senate Race

Jaime Harrison is running for Senate in South Carolina to bring character and values back to the U.S. Senate. Jaime Harrison for Senate is hiring a Deputy research Director to join the team in Columbia, South Carolina. The Deputy Research Director will work with the Research Director to take on in-depth, long-term research projects utilizing primary source materials 

 *Responsibilities* 

Identify and complete original research projects 

Perform thorough fact checks on external communication documentation 

Assist with assignments and tasks as requested by the Research Director 

Manage research associate and tracker 

*Minimum Qualifications* 

3-4 years experience in political research, at least 1 cycle of campaign experience 

Experience with Lexis-Nexis, analyzing primary source documents, commonly-used research databases and other basic opposition research tasks 

Ability to write, edit, and fact-check with precision and calm on deadline during high-volume, fast paced periods 

Familiar with fact-checking 

Understanding event tracking and media monitoring 

A pro-active, self-starter who can take direction/work as part of a team, but can be trusted to independently produce error-free research 

Creative thinking, ability to take direction and ask questions
