A Montgomery County, Maryland state delegate candidate is seeking a dedicated and energetic Finance Director to help develop and execute a campaign fundraising plan. The position is a paid, full-time commitment through the June primary. Previous campaign finance experience is preferred, but not required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Create and manage the campaign’s finance plan to achieve monthly fundraising goals.
· Staff candidate call time and follow up on pledges and donations.
· Ensure donations are tracked and reported correctly.
· Research and expand campaign donor networks.
· Plan and execute fundraising events.
· Work with candidate and senior staff on overall campaign strategy.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a call time manager, finance assistant or finance director on a political campaign is strongly preferred.
· Some experience with political campaigns, fundraising and/or coordinating donations is required.
· Must be proficient in Excel and able to navigate financial reporting software.
· Must be detail oriented, organized and have great time-management skills.
· Ability to work long hours and weekends.
