As a Senior Marketing Associate, you will have an opportunity to learn about cutting edge technology, our services, and our products that are leading the way in a fast paced and competitive market. The Senior Marketing Associate is responsible for learning about these product and service offerings and translating them into a variety of formats (traditional and web based) and for multiple audiences. Materials will include internal and external memos, proposals, and presentations for clients, board members, and prospective clients as well as collateral materials describing Catalist tools, services, models, and analytic products for current and future users.
The ideal candidate is collaborative and highly-motivated with excellent writing skills, graphic design, and website development experience. We’re also looking for applicants with a strong desire to learn new skills and an interest in progressive politics.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
• Design, develop, and execute a general marketing strategy that targets current and prospective clients
Interface externally with existing and prospective clients
Draft, edit, and design presentations with Catalist subject matter experts to describe Catalist tools, services, models, and analytic products to diverse audiences
• Maintain a catalog of materials and create a library of marketing materials for Catalist technology, products, and services
• Track the development, and the on-time, approved delivery of major marketing initiatives and projects
• Develop a working knowledge of all internal and external Catalist tools (Q Tool, M Tool, Sandbox, and PDI-Q) and data and products (voter files, Enhanced Analytics, Catalist models, synthetics and specialty data) for the purpose of developing clear communication materials
• Craft, direct, and oversee a metric based tracking and monitoring system for all marketing and business development activities
This position will report to the Director of Accounts Management
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years communications experience and political expertise a plus
Previous marketing experience
Previous managerial experience
Excellent writing skills
Ability to translate complex concepts into clear and concise language
Ability to multi-task
Ability to be personable, creative, and articulate ideas clearly.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency with publishing and/or graphic design software (e.g. Photoshop)
An eye for design and layout of published materials
Knowledge of the c3 and c4 progressive community
EDUCATION
BS or BA degree preferred but not necessary
