Barbara Bollier for Kansas is seeking a Content Strategist for the 2020 campaign cycle. As part of the campaign’s digital team, this person will be responsible for executing the day-to-day social media strategy. 

Location: Mission, KS

Reports to: Digital Director 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Draft long- and short-form content for social media platforms

• Plan and execute social media strategy towards longterm campaign goals 

• Travel with the candidate and gather assets at campaign events including photos and videos

• Edit graphics and video

• Work with Digital Director and other departments to maintain content calendar

• Monitor and provide updates on social media throughout the day

• Use data to analyze and optimize social media messaging and strategy

• Be an integral part of a hardworking campaign team, willing to jump in wherever you’re needed

Qualifications:

• Experience managing the digital presence of a candidate, organization, or brand

• Proficient in writing and editing copy in another’s voice

• Strong attention to accuracy and detail 

• Proficiency in photography and videography for social media

• Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software preferred

• An understanding that working for a political campaign is never a nine-to-five job
