PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Program Associate
will help support the work of the DA’s Investment Strategy (approximately 2/3
time) and Partner Services Teams (approximately 1/3 time), working to
facilitate within and cross-departmental collaboration and supporting smooth
program operations. Specifically, the Program Associate will play a key role in
supporting alignment the DA’s State POWER Funds, ensuring DA Partners have
access to high-quality and timely information on the DA’s new investment
strategy, as well as assisting in the execution of the organization’s
semi-annual conferences and other events designed to showcase and marshal
resources for the DA’s investment recommendations.
This position requires
considerable judgment, coordination, and initiative. The Program Associate must be highly
professional, collaborative, and have the proven ability to multi-task and
proactively problem-solve – anticipating problems before they arise and
developing clear, actionable solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide programmatic and administrative
support to the Investment Strategy’s State POWER Fund team, facilitating
internal meetings, project managing team projects, and providing other
support, as needed.
- Support the Investment Services’ team in
managing communication with external stakeholders, particularly
progressive organizations. Help support team members by acting as “traffic
control” interface with both internal and external constituents, directing
external inquiries and m requests to appropriate team members and
scheduling, ensuring timely and professional responses to external and
internal contacts.
- Serve as a programmatic liaison between the
Investment Strategy and Partner Services team, helping ensure smooth
execution of the organization’s Partner contact plan and helping deploy IS
team members to educate and inform Partners on the funds and other
progressive movement activity.
- Help coordinate meetings between recommended
organizations/efforts and Investment Services/Partner Services’ team
members to support marshaling plan development and regular information
sharing.
- Perform other administrative duties (travel
arrangements, expense reports, note taking for meetings, etc.) as
assigned.
- Assist in planning special events,
presentations, and conferences.
- Provide support on special projects, as needed.

- Ability to communicate effectively with senior
staff, DA donors (Partners), and external allies.
- Very strong and demonstrated computer skills,
including extensive experience and expert proficiency with MS Office suite
(especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Familiarity with
Salesforce or comparable database preferred.

- Sense of humor, ability to have fun, interest in contributing to a
collaborative, high performing team culture.
Background Desired:
- Undergraduate degree, preferred; at least two years of relevant
work experience; background in non-profit or politically-oriented
organizations helpful.
