Job Description: Kristine Reeves for Congress Digital Organizer (WA-10)

Kristine is running for Washington’s 10thCongressional District. She is not a typical congressional candidate, and we’re proud of that. She grew up in and out of foster care, homeless for a time during high school, and is a first generation college graduate thanks to student loans, grants and financial aid. She’ll bring a different perspective and lived experience to Congress, one that’s sorely lacking and needed today. She knows what it’s like to be on the margins, to overcome adversity, and that’s why she’s running to make sure the working moms, foster kids and average families that struggle to get by every single day are represented in Congress. Join our team!

Digital Organizer responsibilities:

• Manage social media channels for the campaign
• Plan and execute online events, such as digital town halls and online coffees with the candidate
• Recruit for and manage a digital volunteer program
• Oversee at-home volunteer activities like virtual phone banks, texting programs, and relational organizing
• Be a tech problem solver and innovator as we Stay Home and transition to a Safe Start

Ideal candidates have some of the following skills:

• Familiarity with relational organizing best practices and tools
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills for digital content creation
• Social media management and effective and compelling writing 
• Ability to managed volunteer activities on and offline
• Creative problem solvers who will help the campaign communicate without traditional event

Qualifications:

• At least 1 cycle of campaign experience in field, outreach, or digital
• Strong knowledge of the VAN
• Strong interpersonal communication skills & abilities
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights/ weekends, depending on campaign needs•High comfort level with multiple social media platforms and the appropriate tone for each

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. $3-4,000/month,plus benefits.
