About the DCCC
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC’s Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing more Democrats and taking back the House majority.
Position Summary
The DCCC is seeking experienced Field Directors to work on competitive congressional races for the 2016 cycle. Field Directors will work closely with DCCC field leadership, serving as a point of contact on the ground, and are responsible for directing the day to day field operations for a congressional campaign. They are responsible for planning and executing the campaign field plan, managing field staff, and accountable for all quantitative and qualitative field metrics. The Field Director is also responsible for opening campaign offices and oversight of field budget. They are also the main point of contact for all data in their district.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Understanding of targeting and metrics;
- Have at least two cycles of field experience;
- Experience recruiting, hiring, training and managing a team;
- Commitment to establishing a culture of respect and community;
- Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs;
- Experience developing, training and empowering volunteers;
- Previously held Field Organizer, Regional Field Director of Field Director positions;
- Positions will be based in targeted Congressional Districts across the country;
- Frequent travel required; Access to a vehicle;
- Other duties as needed
