Position Description:
The BVM is seeking a North Florida Regional Organizer who will be responsible for providing support to BVM’s Florida Sr. State Coordinator with regional partners in our North Florida region as they as they mobilize voters as well as BVM’s broader objective of advocating for racial justice and building power by centering Black love, Black culture and Black joy.
Principal Responsibilities:
● Coordinating ongoing communications with the network of BVM partner organizations in the target North
Florida. Such communications include Slack, Mobilize, e-mail discussions and/or conference calls.
● Assisting the Florida Sr. State Coordinator with planning and implementing in person convenings and/or training sessions. It is expected that there will be in person one multi-county convening and at least four webinar training opportunities.
● Assisting the Florida Sr. State Coordinator with identification and outreach to new partner organizations in the targeted North Florida counties.
● Providing social media content related to North Florida efforts for Sr. Coordinator and BVM
communications staff.
● Helping to plan BVM bus tours and/or special events in state/counties covered.
● Providing weekly updates to BVM’s Florida Sr. State Coordinator
