Deputy Director of Scheduling
POSITION SUMMARY: The Stacey Abrams for Governor campaign is seeking a full time Deputy Director of Scheduling to begin immediately.
The Deputy Director of Scheduling will work within the scheduling department and collaborate with the political, field, and communications teams to meet the campaign’s goals.
Reports to: Director of Scheduling and Advance
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Term: Immediately through November 2018
Salary: $4,000 - $4,500 monthly salary based on experience
Benefits: This position comes with the standard package of benefits an employee of AFG receives which includes health insurance. AFG will provide more details.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manage the full surrogate scheduling operation, from incoming requests to final confirmations
● Work in close collaboration with the political and communication teams to identify appropriate surrogate opportunities
● Arrange all surrogate travel around the state, including handling all logistics and tracking
● Write briefing memos, draft schedules, and produce other needed written documents
● Assist the Director of Scheduling and Advance with special projects as needed
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
● 2+ years/campaign cycles of scheduling, logistics, or event planning experience
● Highly organized, deadline driven, and self-motivated
● Experience staffing and working with high level principles at the national level
● Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
● Interest in working with diverse peoples at all levels of involvement with the campaign
● Discretion and professionalism in working with high profile surrogates at all levels
● Strong commitment to Democratic ideals and the people of Georgia
