Field Director for Board of Supervisors Candidate, Prince William County, Virginia

Democratic candidate for Prince William County Board of Supervisors in Virginia seeks Field Director for the 2019 campaign. This is a full-time position, with an immediate start date. The Field Director will be responsible for working on and executing the campaign’s field plan, in consultation with the Campaign Manager and Candidate. The FD will ensure the campaign meets its field goals, including collecting petition signatures, canvassing, and phone banking, and will be in charge of recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers. An ideal candidate will have the ability to work within a motivated team and will be ready to help with additional tasks as needed, such as working on social media for the campaign and assisting at campaign events.

 

Responsibilities

·      Directing field operations for the campaign

·      Defining, meeting, and exceeding field goals for the campaign

·      Recruiting volunteers to canvass and phone bank, and developing strong relationships with those volunteers

·      Maintaining a PTG for the campaign and updating metrics

·      Working closely with the Campaign Manager and Candidate, as well as with other members of the team, to ensure a successful campaign

·      Working alongside other campaigns in the area and maintaining good communication

·      Assisting with other tasks when help is required

 

Requirements:

·      A previous cycle of field work

·      VAN and Google Drive expertise

·      An active driver’s license and working vehicle

·      Willingness to work extended hours and weekends

·      Ability to move to Prince William County for the duration of the campaign

·      Previous familiarity with Prince William County is a plus
