Junior Associate

Kalik & Associates, Inc. is looking for a bright, energetic Junior Associate to assist with our day-to-day operations and client projects. Kalik & Associates is a political consulting firm with over 35 years of combined experience assisting Democratic candidates, political action committees, and progressive non-profit organizations in their quest for successful fundraising.
This position would be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including:
Event Management – Coordinate logistics for client events, including: securing locations, creating invitations, making follow up calls, and drafting briefing materials. Staffing K&A clients at events.
Call Time – Prepare calls, staff, and follow up on call time with clients, including Members of Congress and Chief of Staffs.
Database Management – Update and maintain K&A’s NGP database, including client contributions and contact information.
Donor Research – Research and prepare call sheets for prospective national and DC donors.
Client Travel – Assist in the targeting and scheduling of national and DC meetings. Prepare travel briefings and background.
The ideal Junior Associate will have strong communication skills and be self-motivated,
very organized, capable of meeting deadlines, and executing multiple projects
simultaneously. Interest in Democratic politics and fundraising/campaign finance
experience is preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel, & NGP is required.
