We're looking for a kick-ass social media manager to develop and maintain our overall social media strategy who will
Distill complex policy issues into concise, relatable bites of content
Monitor news stories and trending topics, and maximize rapid response opportunities
Support program teams in developing high-performing content and campaigns
Know what’s new, exciting and ethical in the world of online organizing platforms and services
Center race equity in their work.
The position can be remote from anywhere in the U.S., or based in our D.C. office (once it re-opens, post-COVID)
The starting salary for a Social Media Manager at Free Press is $60,000–65,000. Starting salary is based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience; to counter pay inequality and uphold internal parity, we use a nonnegotiable starting salary system, while benchmarking our pay to highly competitive markets in the nonprofit sector.
