Fellow – Ben Jealous for Governor of Maryland

 

Location: Maryland, USA

 

Position Description:

 

The Ben Jealous for Governor campaign is currently seeking applicants for a fellowship based in Baltimore, Maryland.

 

Fellows will play a key role in the campaign for governor, engaging with constituents in the community and participating in campaign outreach across Maryland. They’ll assist campaign staff and be on the forefront of an exciting, progressive movement.

 

Fellows will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of political activists and professionals, gaining knowledge and experience in public policy, political advocacy, and grassroots organizing. Students, recent graduates, and anyone else looking to get involved in a motivated, detail-oriented, and fast-paced political campaign should apply. Ideal candidates have strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a love for people and progressive politics.

 

Although the fellowship is unpaid, fellows will gain invaluable professional experience in an exciting, fast-growing political campaign. Academic credit is available for qualifying students.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·      Support with essential outreach efforts such as phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, and volunteer recruitment calls

·      Assist team with campaign and community events

·      Assist with data entry

·      Assist in research

·      Assist team with administrative tasks

·      Additional projects as assigned
